The purpose of the position:

Bring internal expertise on material technologies and application within FoodTech to support materials choice and design criteria according to product specification

Essential duties and responsibilities:

· Reporting to the FoodTech R&D manager, the main duties include material analysis and design support, involvement in New Product Development, general technical support, participation in and support of sales projects, process improvement.

· Lead and manage New Product Development projects

Function:

· Review plans for new products and make recommendations for the selection of materials based on design objectives, such as heat resistance, strength, weight and cost

· Fan applications, ventilation system and components design according to different production/materials technologies.

· Conduct tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

· Define a net of consultants/suppliers as support in components design, new production processes and new materials investigation.

· Provide technical advice about the suitability of materials

· Technical support both within FoodTech (including US) and with external customers.

· R&D relating to all aspects of fan technology, involving internal & external resources.

· Participation in external committees, such as trade associations, industrial partnerships, standards committees.

To achieve his/her mission, he/she needs excellent skills in the fields of mechanics, materials, design and manufacturing, analytical skills along with strong communication and report writing abilities.

Profilo del Candidato

Requirements:

· Strong knowledge of fundamental chemistry and polymeric materials

· Experience with plastic product design

· Product development

· Strong project management skills

· Computer skills: CAD software

Fluent English

* SolidWorks

* Bachelor’s degree in materials engineering or a related engineering field
