Our Italian branch office, located in Casorate Sempione, is looking for a Application Engineer to strengthen its Customers  support:

Werth is a worldwide leading manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines with optical sensors, computed tomography and multisensor systems.

In order to reinforce our team in Italy, we are looking for an experienced and customer-orientated Applications/ Service Engineer  – Italy.

The position is located at Werth Italia Srl in Casorate Sempione (VA), Italy.

This individual is responsible for both applications support and field service visits at our customers locations and reports to the Service Manager - Italy. As a key member of the Werth Application and Service team, the Applications/ Service Engineer Italy will deliver world class support to meet customer and business requirements and share responsibility and accountability for the success and direction of the Italian Territory.

 

The candidate will get an extensive on the job training in Gießen before he/she returns to Italy.

 

 

Application Engineer

 

What you will be doing:

 

Demonstration of Werth multisensor coordinate measuring machines illustrating the key selling points for each system.
Performing part studies on our systems
Presentation of our products at trade fairs
Customer training of metrology basics and our user interface
Technical sales support of our local sales team
Provide the highest level of response and service support to Italian customers
Efficiently and effectively diagnose and solve Instrument issues in a timely and resourceful manor.
Effective use of electronic diagnostic tools in solving repairs.
Maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Complete repair and maintenance jobs without leaving open items.
Ensure customers equipment is operating at or above factory specifications
Promote Werth Maintenance program to all customers ensuring the benefits are well communicated.
Understand and promote the range of upgrade options for customers.
Work with Business Development and R&D to evaluate the performance envelope of new products, helping to establish technical specifications. Direct support for new product sales initiatives.
Applications support: Work with Sales to establish lead customers for each new product and provide measurement and applications support.

 

 

What you need for this position:

Technical background and Solid technical general knowledge
preferred University degree in a technical specialization or physics
Communication skills
Curiosity and willingness to learn
Self-Motivated & Confident
Italian as a native language
Very good English language skills, both in speaking and writing. German knowledge is an advantage.

Technical Experience
Background within a technical specialty preferred Engineering Qualification (bachelor’s degree preferred)
would be a plus to have Metrology experience within Electronics, Auto, Optics, Bearings or Aerospace market an advantage
Strong ability to communicate to customers at all levels from technician to Senior management
Travel. Be comfortable with travelling - up to 40/ 50%
