HSEQ Engineer

We’re looking for an HSEQ Engineer to join our team in Cosio Valtellino.

Task and duties

- Actively support the technical department involved in testing activities, checking the test benches projects, in particular safety chains and emergency procedures, and monitoring the respect of policies
- Assess the risk related to test benches, testing and manufacturing activities, new equipment and tools to be used at the manufacturing facility or at the worksite
- Develop safety policies to minimize risks, outline safety procedures, and ensure regulatory compliance with occupational health and safety laws and regulations
- Conduct gap analysis on supply chain areas with the aim of defining and drafting new processes and procedures to ensure internal processes quality
- Design new processes needed in close cooperation with the Head of, always checking the feasibility of the proposed solutions with all the functions directly involved in their implementation;
- Define and draft procedures, instructions, templates, registers to be updated or issued in order to ensure an effective supervision and control of all the processes;
- Ensure that all occupational health and safety standards are followed and that adherence to environmental laws is maintained in industrial settings
- Support the HSEQ department in the preparation of internal and certification audits regarding compliance with regulations at the Cosio plant;
- Support the Head of Sustainability and Internal Communication and the Performance Manager in identifying and collecting significant KPIs related to production process, in terms of environment and quality;
- Identify any operational and regulatory risks, escalating as appropriate and provide competent advice and recommendations.
- Develop a strong working relationship with all levels of employees and promote a culture of engagement
- Conduct audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting implementing improvements
- Report on Company’s QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as/when required.

Qualification and experience

- Engineering degree preferred or, at least, technical diploma in electrical engineering or electronics
- Previous experience in industrial and manufacturing field appreciated
- Knowledge of electrical systems, preferably specific to inverters and batteries
- Ability to understand context overall picture;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Good initiative and proactivity;
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English;
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
